1. Who operates this site

This website is operated under the trading name Shropshire Panel Quotes. The operator's full legal identity, company number and registered address are published in the footer of every page.

2. What this service is, and is not

This is an enquiry and quote-matching service. We are not a panelling contractor. We do not carry out panelling work, we do not subcontract it, and we do not take contractual or professional responsibility for work carried out by any business your enquiry is matched with.

When you submit an enquiry, we may share the details with up to 3 independent joinery businesses covering your area. Those businesses are separate legal entities. Any contract for work is between you and them, on their terms, at their prices.

3. Using this website

You may use this site for genuine panelling enquiries and to read the information on it. You must not:

• Submit false, misleading or automated enquiries
• Submit an enquiry on behalf of someone else without their knowledge
• Upload anything unlawful, or any image you do not have the right to share
• Attempt to circumvent the rate limiting or other protections on the form
• Scrape, copy or republish substantial parts of this site
• Use the site to market to us or to contractors on our list

4. Enquiries

Submitting an enquiry is free and creates no obligation on either side. It is not an order, a booking or a contract for work. We do not guarantee that any contractor will accept your enquiry, contact you, quote for the work, or be available in your timescale.

We may decline to progress an enquiry — for example where it is outside any coverage area, where no suitable contractor is available, where it appears not to be genuine, or where it asks for something unsafe. Where we decline one, we will tell you.

You can withdraw an enquiry at any point by replying to your confirmation email or emailing privacy@shropshirepanelquotes.co.uk.

5. Contractors

Before sending enquiries to a business we check that it exists, that it holds current public liability insurance, and that it genuinely works in the areas and services it claims. That is a baseline check, not a guarantee of quality, workmanship, pricing or conduct.

You should carry out your own checks before appointing anyone. At a minimum: identity, current insurance, relevant competence for your specific job, traceable reviews, and a written quotation setting out exactly what is included. Any competent contractor will expect to be asked.

6. Information on this site

The guidance on this site is general information about panelling, not professional advice about your building. Every property is different, and nothing here is a substitute for someone competent looking at your actual job.

In particular, nothing on this site is a structural opinion, a damp diagnosis, an electrical inspection, a fire-safety assessment or advice on listed building consent. Where those apply, get them from someone qualified to give them.

7. Our liability

We provide this website and the enquiry service with reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for:

• The work, conduct, pricing, timekeeping or quality of any independent contractor
• Any contract you enter into with a contractor
• A contractor failing to contact you, quote, or complete work
• Losses arising from your reliance on general guidance published on this site
• Temporary unavailability of the website or the enquiry form

Because the service is free to you, and because we are not a party to any contract for work, our total liability to you in connection with this website and the enquiry service is limited to £100. Nothing in this clause affects your rights against a contractor.

8. If you are a consumer

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights, including your rights against a contractor under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — which requires services to be carried out with reasonable care and skill, within a reasonable time and at a reasonable price where none was agreed.

Where you agree work with a contractor in your home rather than at their premises, you generally have 14 days to cancel that contract. Ask the contractor about it; they are required to tell you.

9. Intellectual property

The content, design and code of this website belong to the operator. Photographs you upload remain yours — you grant us permission to use them for the purpose of handling and matching your enquiry only. We will not publish them anywhere without asking you separately and getting a clear yes.

10. Complaints

Our complaints page sets out how to raise something, what we will do about it, and honestly what we cannot do.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your enquiry is the one published when you submitted it. Material changes will be flagged by the review date at the top of this page.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
